Wertek AI: platform overview

What Wertek AI is

Wertek AI is a platform for industrial asset digital identity, predictive maintenance, and condition monitoring. It brings together in one place what normally requires several separate tools: asset registration and identity (QR/NFC), multi-technology diagnostics (vibration, ultrasound, video-based vibration visualization with VibeDiag), energy and power quality monitoring, maintenance management (work orders, preventive maintenance, inspection routes, inventory), and field service for service-provider organizations.

The platform is used from two complementary surfaces: the web application at app.wertek.ai (visibility, analysis, administration) and the mobile application for iOS and Android (field capture, QR/NFC scanning, work orders, offline work). Both operate on the same data and are available in 14 languages.

The core design principle is identity first: "The asset exists digitally BEFORE the user interacts with it." Every motor, panel, drive, or pump gets a permanent digital identity — with its measurement history, work orders, observations, and documents — reachable by scanning a physical tag. Diagnostics, monitoring, and maintenance are built on top of that identity, not the other way around.

What Wertek AI is not

Defining the boundaries avoids mistaken expectations:

  • It does not sell hardware as its core business. Wertek AI is a sensor-brand-agnostic software platform: it integrates with sensors and gateways from established manufacturers (for example Banner, and energy meters from multiple brands) instead of locking the customer into proprietary hardware. This contrasts with competitors whose model depends on selling you their own sensors.
  • It does not provide on-site services. Wertek AI enables your own maintenance team or your trusted service provider; it does not send its own technicians. Service-provider organizations (vibration analysts, integrators, maintenance companies) use the platform to serve their clients — see customer types.
  • It is not a traditional CMMS. It includes a full maintenance module (work orders, preventive maintenance, Kanban, calendar, inventory), but the CMMS is a layer on top of asset intelligence, not the product itself. The practical difference: in Wertek AI, work orders can originate from a diagnostic or a monitoring alert with the evidence already attached, not just from manual entry.

The orphan → adopted model

The commercial tagline is "Register unlimited. Manage what matters." and it rests on two asset states:

  • Orphan: an asset registered on the platform that does not yet belong to any organization's account as a managed asset. Registering orphans is free and unlimited on all plans — they can be created by your team, an integrator, or a service provider, with a photo, nameplate data, and a QR/NFC tag.
  • Adopted: when an organization claims the asset and makes it its own, it becomes managed: it has a complete history, measurements, work orders, alerts, and reports. Only adopted assets count against the plan limit (for example, 3 on Free, 30 on Technical).

This model eliminates the typical "pay to register" friction: a plant can build a complete census of its equipment at no cost and decide afterward which critical assets are worth managing and monitoring. The per-plan limits are in plans and pricing.

The flow: physical tag → scan → adopt → manage

An asset's path to its digital identity is deliberately simple:

  1. Physical tag (QR/NFC). The equipment arrives or is tagged with a QR code or NFC tag — for example, a panel or enclosure that ships from the factory or the integrator already carrying its Wertek tag, or tags generated from the platform itself.
  2. Scan. Anyone with the mobile app scans the code and sees the asset's public identity. If the asset does not exist yet, the scan lets you create it on the spot (guided registration with a photo and basic data).
  3. Orphan. The newly registered asset exists as an orphan: identifiable, with its record, at no cost.
  4. Adopt. The owning organization claims it (with ownership verification) and turns it into a managed asset in its account.
  5. Manage. Once adopted, the asset accumulates measurements, diagnostics, work orders, photo observations, documents, and alerts — all hanging off the same identity, accessible with a scan.

This flow works the same for a plant tagging its own equipment as for a service provider registering its clients' assets in the field. Technical detail and edge cases in asset identity QR/NFC.

Core modules

On top of asset identity, the platform offers modules that activate depending on the plan and needs:

  • Diagnostics and condition monitoring — vibration analysis, ultrasound (steam traps, partial discharge, bearings), compressed-air leak detection and quantification, and continuous monitoring with wireless sensors. See diagnostics and monitoring.
  • VibeDiag (visual vibration diagnostics) and structural health — video-based vibration analysis: the equipment or structure is recorded and the platform shows where it moves, at what frequency and what is worth checking. See visual vibration diagnostics and structural.
  • Energy and power quality — multi-brand meter consumption monitoring, cost estimated with your average price, Grid Code compliance, and power quality. See energy.
  • Maintenance (CMMS) and field service (FSM) — work orders, preventive maintenance, inspection routes, spare-parts inventory, and tools for service providers with technician tracking. See CMMS and FSM.
  • Variable frequency drive (VFD) monitoring and compressors as specialized modules by equipment type. See Drive Service Intelligence.
  • AI Copilot and event intelligence — an AI assistant over the platform data and an event/reliability intelligence dashboard. See AI Copilot.
  • Buildings and BMS — visibility into HVAC systems and commercial buildings. See buildings.

The ISO 55001 compliance module (risk register, maturity assessment) is under development ROADMAP.

Who it is for

Wertek AI serves two primary profiles that reinforce each other:

  • Plants and asset operators (manufacturing, food, power generation, water, buildings): maintenance and reliability teams that want to move from corrective to predictive without buying proprietary hardware or contracting several platforms.
  • Service providers (vibration analysts, thermographers, integrators, maintenance companies): they use the platform as their working tool with clients, with a dedicated provider dashboard, technician tracking, and visit reports. There is a credit program for service providers (see plans and pricing).
