CMMS and Field Service (FSM)
Summary
Wertek AI's CMMS manages the entire maintenance cycle — work orders, automated preventive maintenance, spare-parts inventory, inspection routes and team skills — on top of each asset's digital identity. The field service module (FSM) adds what a traditional CMMS lacks: visits with geolocated check-in/check-out, visit reports with device-verified findings, and customer satisfaction surveys. It serves both in-house maintenance teams and companies that service third-party assets.
The problem it solves
Without a system, maintenance lives on paper, spreadsheets and WhatsApp messages: work orders get lost, preventive maintenance is skipped without anyone noticing, spare parts run out with no warning, and there's no evidence of what was done or who did it. For field service companies the pain doubles: the customer never sees the work performed, there's no proof that the technician was actually on site, and "closing the order" doesn't demonstrate that the problem was really resolved. The result is unplanned downtime, audits with no evidence, and customers who doubt the value of the service. More context in market pain points.
What it does
- Work orders: create, assign, prioritize and complete them with a time log, notes and evidence. Supports custom fields per order type, dependencies between orders, multi-level approval flows and per-order cost valuation (USD) to calculate the total cost per asset.
- Kanban and Calendar views: a board by status and a calendar with rescheduling by dragging the order to another date.
- Preventive maintenance: recurring templates with automatic scheduling — the system generates the orders according to the defined frequency, with no manual intervention.
- Spare-parts inventory: a parts catalog, stock levels, suppliers and automatic generation of purchase orders when stock drops below the minimum.
- Skills matrix: skills and certifications per technician, with expiration dates and expiry alerts, plus verification that the assigned technician meets the order's requirements.
- Inspection routes: routes with sequenced points and conditional logic (skip points based on what's found), executable from the mobile app, with a history of executions.
- Quick jobs and service reports: fast logging of minor jobs and formal service reports to hand to the customer.
- FSM — field service: on-site check-in/check-out with GPS and an arrival photo (works offline and syncs later), a visit report with device-verified findings, satisfaction surveys (NPS) via a public link with no login, and mileage logging with supervisor approval.
Benefits
- Nothing gets lost: every order has an owner, a date, evidence and full traceability.
- Preventive maintenance runs itself: automatic scheduling generates the orders and anything overdue is visible immediately.
- Evidence ready for audits and for the customer: photos, time logs, visit reports and surveys.
- A key FSM differentiator: it doesn't just record that the technician "closed" the job — when the asset is monitored, the platform verifies with the equipment's own data that the condition actually recovered.
- Total cost per asset: valued orders feed maintenance-cost metrics per piece of equipment.
Experience on the web platform
In the sidebar, the Maintenance group: Dashboard (CMMS summary), Work Orders, Kanban, Calendar, Preventive, Routes, Inventory and Team (members and skills matrix). From an order you can reach dependencies, approvals, comments and evidence. Service-provider companies also have the Provider section (productivity, live tracking, reports) — described in Drive Service Intelligence and provider mode.
Experience on the mobile app
The mobile app covers the full field workflow: view, create and complete work orders with time logging and notes; a preventive-maintenance calendar; inventory; quick log; asset documents; and inspection routes with point-by-point execution. For field service: on-site check-in/check-out with GPS and photo (with offline support), a visit report, generating and sending the customer survey, mileage logging with a route map, and the technician's personal statistics. QR/NFC scanning opens the asset directly to create the order or observation on site.
Availability by plan
Work orders and the core CMMS functions are available on plans with CMMS enabled. Inspection routes, spare-parts inventory and team management (skills matrix) require the Monitoring plan or higher. Service-provider functions (supervised FSM, productivity, tracking) apply to organizations registered as service providers. Amounts and per-plan detail are in Plans and pricing, which is the authoritative document.
